Day 4: 15th March Historical Rashtra Heet Pad Yatra – Travel Diary
The day commenced with our walk from Mehmedabad to Nadiad.
Upon reaching Sardar Patel’s birthplace in Nadiad, we were welcomed by the Ex-Municipal Governance Body under Tejasbhai Patel’s leadership. A Sardar Satsang was conducted, engaging local participants in discussions about his life and ideals.
Local media representatives covered the event, amplifying its reach.
We then visited Santram Mandir, a sacred site with deep spiritual significance.
A highlight of the day was our meeting with Dinsha Patel, a two-time Member of Parliament known as ‘Chhote Sardar’ for his leadership and character. We conveyed our best wishes for his good health.
A heartwarming interaction followed at Hindu Anathashram, where we spent time with orphaned children. Naginbhai Prajapati shared insightful lessons on Science and the Bhagavad Gita, inspiring the young minds.
In the evening, we had our meal at BAPS Swaminarayan Temple, where Swami Shri Sarvamangaldas blessed us and provided snacks for our onward journey.
A memorable moment was attending Sai Ram Dave’s Dairo, where we met MLA Pankaj Desai of Nadiad Constituency and received his best wishes. Our night walk continued until midnight towards Karamsad.
