Today, Mr. Kanubhai Patel and Mrs. Sudhaben Patel, parents of social worker Darshan Kumar Patel (WorldMitr), visited the Gandhinagar Secretariat and submitted a written representation to the officials of the Government of Gujarat.

They have submitted documented evidence showing that Darshan Kumar Patel has been continuously contacting the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), Home Minister’s Office (HMO), Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), and the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) — seeking assistance for his safety and return to India, while facing serious threats to his life.

They stated that for the last 55 days, officials of the Indian Embassy have neither responded to his emails nor granted any appointment, which has made his situation increasingly critical.

During his stay in the United States, Darshan Kumar Patel served the homeless during the “Dignity Fest” and submitted an open report to the President of the United States and the FBI. Since then, his life has been under threat.

Since September 12, he has been surviving on the streets of Cancun, later at a UNHCR-supported international shelter (Puerto Aventuras) and El Sauce Farm, and is currently residing in a forest area in Mexico.

Despite these difficult circumstances, Darshan Kumar Patel has planted more than 10,000 trees and launched the “Sardar150” campaign for 2026, which aims to spread a global message linked with FIFA 2026.

The representation includes four (4) PDF files and details from the WorldMitr website, providing evidence of all emails and documents submitted to various government offices.

आज श्री कनुभाई पटेल और श्रीमती सुधाबेन पटेल, समाजसेवी दर्शनकुमार पटेल (वर्ल्डमित्र) के माता-पिता, गांधीनगर सचिवालय पहुंचे और गुजरात सरकार के अधिकारियों को एक लिखित ज्ञापन सौंपा।

उन्होंने दस्तावेज़ी प्रमाणों के साथ बताया कि दर्शनकुमार पटेल लगातार संपर्क कर रहे हैं — मुख्यमंत्री कार्यालय (CMO), गृह मंत्री कार्यालय (HMO), प्रधानमंत्री कार्यालय (PMO) और विदेश मंत्रालय (MEA) से — अपने जीवन के खतरे के बीच सुरक्षा और भारत वापसी के लिए सहायता मांगते हुए।

उन्होंने बताया कि पिछले 55 दिनों से भारतीय दूतावास के अधिकारी न तो उनकी ईमेल का जवाब दे रहे हैं और न ही किसी बैठक के लिए समय दे रहे हैं, जिससे उनकी स्थिति और गंभीर हो गई है।

संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका में अपने प्रवास के दौरान, दर्शनकुमार पटेल ने “Dignity Fest” के दौरान बेघर लोगों की सेवा की थी, और इस कार्य का ओपन रिपोर्ट अमेरिका के राष्ट्रपति और FBI को सौंपी थी। उसके बाद से ही उनके जीवन को खतरा बना हुआ है।

12 सितंबर से, वे कैनकून की सड़कों पर, बाद में UNHCR समर्थित अंतरराष्ट्रीय आश्रय स्थल (Puerto Aventuras) और El Sauce Farm में रहे हैं, और वर्तमान में मेक्सिको के जंगल क्षेत्र में रह रहे हैं।

कठिन परिस्थितियों के बावजूद, दर्शनकुमार पटेल ने 10,000 से अधिक पेड़ लगाए हैं और “Sardar150” नाम से 2026 के लिए एक अभियान शुरू किया है, जो FIFA 2026 से जुड़ा एक वैश्विक संदेश प्रसारित करता है।
